ABOUT GICLEE PRINTS: 

A giclée print is a high-quality, archival-quality reproduction of an original artwork created using an inkjet printer. The word "giclée" comes from the French words gicleur (nozzle) and gicler (to spray), which refers to the high-end printers used to make the prints. 

Here are some characteristics of giclée prints: 

High quality: Giclee prints are known for their high-quality, longevity and value. 

Pigment-based inks: Giclée prints are made with pigment-based inks that are resistant to fading and degradation. 

Acid-free paper: Giclée prints are made on acid-free archival-quality paper or canvas to ensure the inks don't break down and the image retains its definition.

High resolution: The original image used to create a giclée print must have a resolution of at least 300 dots per inch (DPI). 

Lightfast: Giclée prints can be lightfast for over 100 years, depending on the paper type and storage conditions.
