About Us

Hi, I'm Shana Schutte

Well, there are some things that you plan, and some things that you fall into. This is a "fall into" kind of thing. It's something that I never anticipated doing. The vision for this adventure to help cancer patients comes out of my personal experience with cancer.

I kind of wondered what would happen if a doctor ever told me I was going to die. It's not that I focused on it, just over the years, it was a thought that went through my mind now and then.

In July 2023, I found out how I would respond when I discovered that I had terminal breast cancer. My doctor told me that she couldn't cure me. The only hope was palliative care. I later found out that I had a couple hundred tumors all over my body.

But I didn't believe that that was God's plan for me. So, my husband and I sought treatment out of the country at an integrative hospital, Oasis of Hope, that was started over 60 years ago by a Harvard Medical School graduate in Tijuana, Mexico. Their treatment, along with prayer and lots of support has led to healing. I am not completely healed yet, but I am getting there and going the rest of the way! I am counting on God to finish what He started.

Along the way, others who have been diagnosed have been coming to me, through Facebook and other connections. I have been able to pray for them and tell them about my journey which has been such a blessing to me!

After my diagnosis as a means to heal and rest, I found a space for an art studio where I could paint. I started posting my work to share on Facebook and people started asking if they could buy it. "Why not?" I thought.

Then I got the idea that I could help support other cancer patients. When cancer patients call me on the phone, my husband and I are giving out of the proceeds to help others, while still covering our costs and medical bills.

This is a love project, literally started in love that I fell into.

I hope you'll come back and see the new works I add. I hope you love what I share!
